Nico Tomkins biography

Nico has 10 years experience as a guitar teacher and has been a professional musician for 16 years.

He's the guitarist in Parsley Sound. Amongst others, he's performed and worked with Marcela Puppini (of The Puppini Sisters) and the session musicians Oroh Angiama (of Ms Dynamite, Courtney Pine), Jonathan Shorten (songwriter with Joss Stone) and the late Wurzel (ex-Motorhead).  He performs regularly with various jazz artists including Helen McDonald and Shura Greenberg.  He appears on the 'Born in '82' EP by Guynamite on Juno Records. Nico is based in South West London.

Nico has Grade 8 with honours in Plectrum guitar (Trinity - Guildhall), Music A Level, and a First class honours degree in English Literature from Glasgow University.

He acheived an A grade on the 'Advanced Jazz Guitar Improvisation' online (3 month course) with Berklee College of Music (USA) and has passed the written paper of the Trinity ATCL Instrumental Teaching Diploma.
